| The Yavapai Symphony Association is pleased to present the first concert of the '08-'09 season of the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra at the Yavapai College Performance Hall on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. A preconcert talk will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tickets ($17-$27) will be available at the door from 1:45 p.m. or by calling (928) 776-4255 before Sept. 5. Michael Christie will be conducting works by Wagner: Tannhauser: Overture and Dich teure halle, as well as Siegfried’s Death& Funeral Music from Gotterdammerung and Rhine Journey from Gotterdammerung. He has won numerous awards from the Arizona Press Club and won second place in the Best of the West contest for his rivers series.
