SACRED CLASSICS

SACRED CLASSICS - March 15, 2008 - 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Over many centuries, sacred music has been a large contributor to the wealth of classical music. This concert celebrates some of that rich heritage of music with vocal and instrumental works inspired by faith. From the deeply religious to those who wrote religiously, the composers presented through Sacred Classics have inspired listeners of
all religious beliefs. Appealing to all audiences regardless of faith, this concert presents choral, solo and instrumental pieces that are inspiring as well as entertaining.

Aviation Enthusiasts

American Aviation Historical Society ERAU-Prescott Chapter meets monthly at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) September through April. Aviation enthusiasts of all ages are urged to attend these free meetings, which focus on aircraft and aviators of historic significance. On the he 3rd Wednesdays January through April 2008, for these 7 PM meetings on campus at the DLC Auditorium.

Arcosanti Annual Art Show

The residents of Arcosanti will exhibit their art in the Cafe and other locations at Arcosanti from February 14th through April 1st, 2008.  A wide range of arts and crafts will be for sale.  Visitor hours are every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Titled "Breaking the Mold," the exhibit will feature sculptures, paintings, jewelry, ceramics, household crafts, needlework, photographs and more, created by 16 artists and craftspeople from diverse backgrounds.

On Saturday, February 16th from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m., a special reception will be held to mark the opening of the Art Show. Refreshments will be served.  The artists will be present for questions or comments.

High Desert Bead Society

This is the month to visit the Bead Society- We will have open beading and you will be able to see if this is the hobby for you.  Meetings begin at 1pm and typically end at 3pm, every third Saturday of each month. The High Desert Bead Society monthly meetings feature guest speakers, demonstrations and raffles.
