Who:. Members of the Phoenix Symphony, Flagstaff Symphony, Arizona Opera Orchestra and faculty of Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and Yavapai College perform music of four award-winning Arizona Composers.

What: Chaparral MusicFest 2008’s New Music Arizona concert.

Where: Presented by the Historic Elks Opera House at 117 East Gurley Street, in comfortable, downtown Prescott, AZ.

When: 7:30 PM, June 13th, 2008.

Tickets: $15 for adults, $5 for 18 and under. Available through ElksOperaHouse.com, the Elks box office, the Prescott Chamber of Commerce and the Hassayampa Inn. Dinner and concert packages are available through http://www.hassayampainn.com/. Click on “Special Events."

More what: Chaparral MusicFest’s flagship concert, New Music Arizona, features works by four acclaimed Arizona composers: Bruce Reiprich, Judith Lang-Zaimont, Chris Burton-Jacomé and Henry Flurry. These pieces will be interwoven with musical sources that inspire these composers from Bach to traditional flamenco music to nature. Please note: this concert will feature a world premier by Henry Flurry and an Arizona premier of Ms. Zaimont’s work.

More why: Audiences will enjoy this second annual Chaparral MusicFest as much as the first because they will, once again, experience fresh, inspiring music and nationally-known musicians in a festive, inviting setting. The Elks Opera House is a historic landmark and jewel of downtown Prescott and is the perfect setting to further CMF’s mission to blur the line between stage and listener to promote a richer experience for all.
