Program on importance of Colorado River

Tuesday, June 24,2008
“The Importance of the Colorado River to Arizona’s Future” The Water Resources Research Center at the University of Arizona, in collaboration with the Central Arizona Project, will have the program with speakers including U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Bob Johnson, Central Arizona Project Board President Susan Bitter Smith, and Arizona Department of Water Resources Director Herb Guenther.  Location:  Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa- 2400 Missouri Ave, Phoenix Early Bird registration is $125. Beginning May 16th, registration will be $150. Reduced rates are available for students. A limited number of scholarships are available. Farmers Market in Prescott Valley

We are a growers-only market where you'll find the best selection of fresh, locally-grown produce, baked goods, grass-fed beef, jams and sauces, tamales, BBQ, dog treats, art vendors, guest chefs, musicians, and special events throughout the season! Wednesdays, from 3-6 at the M & I Bank parking lot.

Also: On Thursdays, come to the Chino Valley Farmers Market from at the Bonnfire Grill parking lot.

On Saturdays, come to the Prescott Farmers Market at Yavapai College from 7:30 am - Noon.

High Desert Bead Society

This is the month to visit the Bead Society- We will have open beading and you will be able to see if this is the hobby for you.  Meetings begin at 1pm and typically end at 3pm, every third Saturday of each month. The High Desert Bead Society monthly meetings feature guest speakers, demonstrations and raffles. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet many talented beaders in Northern Arizona so please join us!  Meetings for 2007 currently take place at the Frank Pehlman Training Center Yavapai Jeep Posse Building in Prescott, AZ.
