Summer is winding down, school is back in session (at least for those of you who are preparing to educate), and fall is just around the corner, down the hall, and through the third door on the left. The monsoon season is still showering us with periodic demonstrations of electrical prowess and dust-settling temptation. This brings us to an important point: research shows that you are 99% more likely to be struck by lightning outside the Raven than in. I think we’ll call this Safety Week at the Raven Café.
Monday: Ben and Miguel are teaming up again for a special Chef’s Choice menu built around some of your favorites: Fried Dill Pickles, Blue Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms, Arkansas Razorback Cheeseburgers, Vietnamese Pork & Vermicelli, Killer Dogs, Chili Relleno, Stuffed Acorn Squash, and a Shredded BBQ Beef Sandwich. I’m thinking I might run some silent films built around some sort of safety theme.
We’ll see what can be dug up.
Tuesday: Endless Summer, directed by Bruce Brown, was one of your favorites. This Tuesday we will be showing his son’s first major surf film…Step Into Liquid…8:30pm
Thursday: DJ Angelo…some of you know him as Brian, our omnipresent Bar Manager and personality. His DJ sets are rare, but legendary. Come hear what all the buzz is about. 8pm
Friday: Adam Schrader spins a revival set of the best music you forgot you loved so much.

Saturday: The Jazz Summit is happening in Prescott this weekend and we are proud to be a part of the event. The Raven will be hosting the after-event Jam Session on Saturday night. The regions best jazz musicians will be coming together to hang out, improvise, and do what they love most, play jazz music. 10:30pm
