Prescott Pride Center will host its 7th annual Mile High Pride Day Print E-mail

Pride Day will be held Saturday, May 19th, 2007 from 11am to 6pm.

Join us for a day of hometown fun as we celebrate our wonderfully diverse community. We'll have vendors, live entertainment, psychic readings, raffles, festival food, and more.

The pride celebration will be held at the Prescott Pride Center, located at 111 Josephine Street in Prescott. Admission is $5 and kids 12 and under get in free. This is a family event, so bring your kids, relatives, and friends, but please leave your pets at home. 7TH ANNUAL ARIZONA SPOKEN WORD FESTIVAL Print E-mail

The Arizona Spoken Word Festival and Slab City Slam returns to Arcosanti for its 7th year, on May 25, 26, and 27, 2007. Slab City Slam is a performance poetry competition for bragging rights as state slam poetry champions. Ten teams of poets from across the state will compete in three fast-paced, funny, exciting, and heart-wrenching rounds that will last all day and into the night on Saturday, May 26th. This highly anticipated spoken word event offers an opportunity to see what variety Arizona's literary performance community has to offer.

Local classes offer new moms and babies ways to get in shape together Print E-mail

To celebrate the addition of outdoor classes to its schedule, Stroller Strides, a fitness program for new moms, is hosting a re-grand opening event featuring a free sample class as well as discounts on memberships and class passes. The re-grand opening class will be held on May 16th starting at 9:00 am at the  Prescott Valley Civic Center in the grass area.
