On Labor Day Monday, cyclists from around Arizona will join the Verde Valley Cycling Coalition in a ride to honor their close friend Pete Bennett and all fallen riders.
The ride’s intention is to make a visual statement against the carnage taking place on our streets. It is a chance to mourn those who have been killed. The ride hopes to raise awareness of bicycle safety and Share the Road. |

This American Aviation Historical Society (AAHS) ERAU-Prescott chapter program is free and open to the public.

The Seventh Annual Prescott Jazz Summit takes place August 24-26 in Prescott, Arizona. More than 40 local and national jazz musicians will meet in historic Prescott to perform at a series of concerts and events designed to bring the best of jazz music to northern Arizona and raise funds for local school music departments, jazz camp scholarships and the Clare Willey Memorial Scholarship Fund. Willey was a long-time Prescott musician and instructor.

The Prescott Farmers Market invites children of all ages to participate in the veggie car derby Saturday, August 18, at Yavapai Collegefrom 7:30 a.m. – Noon.
In addition to the finest farm fresh, local produce, agricultural crafts and food the market will have a veggie car derby with races every 1/2 hour. Purchase a fruit or vegetable of your choice and join us at the info booth to build your car. Wheels and axles will be provided as well as a custom veggie car racetrack. Winning cars will win great prizes. Adults are welcome to participate in the veggie car derby. All events are free.
Don't forget, the farmers market is a great place to catch an early lunch while you shop! Stop by Jube's Fire House BBQ for a pulled pork sandwich or rack of ribs, Molly's Tamales for a fresh hot tamale or Mama Lupe's for enchiladas! All vendors are required to use a minimum of 10% Arizona grown ingredients, you can eat a great meal and support local agriculture at the same time.
This year marks the 11th Season of the Prescott Farmers Market. The PFM is a "growers only" market; all vendors either grow their own produce or make their food or crafts with Arizona Grown products. Stop by the Info booth and enter to win the market basket, all proceeds from the basket raffle support local agriculture scholarship. The market is held at Yavapai College in the main parking lot, 1100 E. Sheldon Street, every Saturday through October 13th.
