(PV) MARDI GRAS MEETS MASQUERADE 8-11pm Tim’s Toyota Center presented by Prescott Valley Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) – 928-759-3100 – Cost $4 Admission. A charity ball targeting high school students to benefit local charities, with $1 deducted off admission fee for every person bringing an article of clothing and/or non-perishable food item. Event features free food and drinks, dancing, a DJ and free ice skating. Proceeds will be raised for the following non-profit agencies: Boy & Girls Club of Central AZ, Yavapai Food Bank, and Stepping Stones. This is a Drug/Alcohol-free event. Friday 23rd Wayne Newton Brings Las Vegas to Yavapai College Performance Hall PRESCOTT, AZ, Jan. 25, 2007 – Wayne Newton brings the excitement of Las Vegas to Prescott for one performance only on Friday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Yavapai College Performance Hall. The show, which includes a live band, is presented by Yavapai College Community Events and sponsored by KPPV 106.7 “The Mix.” During his 50-plus years in show business, Wayne Newton (aka Mr. Las Vegas) has performed live before more than 30 million people and reached millions more through his recordings and television appearances. His repertoire includes such all-time favorites as “Danke Schoen,” “Red Roses for a Blue Lady,” “Little Green Apples,” “Daddy Don’t You Walk So Fast,” “Dreams of the Everyday Housewife” and “Bill Bailey.” He has recorded and released 158 albums, including the recent box set, “The Wayne Newton Dynasty Collection.” This consummate showman with the distinctive voice is also adept at playing the guitar, banjo, trumpet and violin.
