The Town of Prescott Valley Parks and Recreation Department will offer a celebration of Arbor Day/Earth Day on Friday, April 20 from 10AM to Noon at the Prescott Valley Civic Center amphitheatre - 7501 E. Civic Circle.

Students from local elementary schools will gather together along with the general public and parks staff to learn about the importance of the Environment, trees and water to those living in Prescott Valley.

Schools involved include Liberty Traditional, Granville and Lake Valley Elementary schools. Mayor Harvey Skoog will read a proclamation on Arbor Day and Guitarist Pete West will be on hand to provide music. Representatives from Prescott Valley Animal Control, United Animal Friends and Heritage Park Zoo will be on hand to talk about their respective organizations. Judith Joyce, a local labyrinth builder, will build a small labyrinth on site. Arbor Day/Earth Day is sponsored by the Prescott Valley Parks and Recreation Commission. Call 759-3090 for information.
