Circulation: We distribute 7,000 magazines each month to over 150 places in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley and the outlying areas. The magazine is available in these major stores in Prescott and Prescott Valley: Fry’s, Kmart and Albertsons. Our complete distribution list is available online at www.pickup.readitnews.com. We adjust our distribution each month to ensure that the maximum number of our magazines arrive in quad-cities reader’s hands. But it’s not that hard. It’s a big, pretty magazine chock full of good writing and PEOPLE LOVE TO PICK IT UP.

Content: Read It Here offers well-written stories on local news and outdoor sports, book and movie reviews, not to mention a complete listing of local happenings including community events and nightlife.

Online Circulation: Each month, 1000's of  unique visitors find our online edition, www.readitnews.com to be a worthy news source. It’s not hard to imagine why. Our web site offers all the content in the hard copy edition plus up-to-the-minute outdoors and cultural news as well as weekly astrology updates.

The Read It Here Staff: The RIH team is a group of local journalists, photographers and designers. RIH’s editor and publisher, Art Merrill, worked for many years at the Prescott Valley Tribune. He freelanced for national shooting and fishing magazines, and in 1998 the Arizona Game & Fish Commission named him Outdoor Writer of the Year. Co-publisher and Prescott native Erica Ryberg writes narrative journalism and sales copy. And Contributing Editor Candace McNulty attends endless government and organizational meetings on water issues. A bevy of local writers and artists fill the editorial stable, ensuring a wide range of voices.

What kind of web presence do you have?

A very comprehensive one. If you visit www.readitnews.com, you’ll find web-only stories and reviews, a comprehensive and user-friendly events calendar and all the multimedia and interactivity you’ve come to expect from a good online magazine.

Who are the people reading your magazine?

They’re local residents who tend to be older, enjoy reading, own their own homes and replace their cars periodically. Most of them make more than $30,000/year. They’re apt enjoy NPR’s programming as well.

Where does the magazine go?

We place it in Yarnell and Jerome and all points in between. The 7000 copies have 160 distribution points in restaurants, car dealerships, shops and grocery stores. Think Prescott, Prescott Valley and Chino Valley. And we never throw a single copy away. Ever.

I gave you an ad and you didn’t like it. What gives?

Read It Here does its very best to increase your success by helping you create ads that encourage direct-response. While branding IS important (see below), you might to get an offer for a rework if the ad doesn’t include, for example, a strong headline or an enticing call to action.

Here are a few guidelines to get you started:

 ·  Submit ads in an electronic format (300 dpi) according to the mechanical specifications on the above size card. We prefer TIFFs, JPGs or PDFs. If you need help designing, writing or laying out your ad, let us know.  As long as you buy three months worth of ads or more, we’ll throw in up to three full hours of our professional copywriter’s or award-winning designer’s time ($240 value – no kidding) at no cost.

 ·  Deadlines: In order to get your ad into the next issue, it really helps to have an agreement in place by the 10th of the preceding month.  The exception is if you have camera-ready art; in which case, just get it to us by the 15th of the month. This doesn’t count for web ads. We’ll run them as soon as we get them.
