GLOBAL WARMING – ARIZONA SIZE Print E-mail
by Press Release

Global climate change is one of the most serious threats to the environment, health and economy of our nation. Recent scientific studies show that global warming is already causing environmental changes that will have significant global economic and social impacts.

The League of Women Voters of Central Yavapai County’s May meeting will feature a panel of speakers to help bring the topic of Global Warming down to the local, state and individual level. This program will focus on what can be done at the local level and how we can educate members and the public on what our local governments (city, county and state) can do as well as what we can do as individuals.

The panel of speakers will include Matt Ackerman, LEED, AIA, of Catalyst Architeture and Jan Bryan, CFP® AIF™ specializing in socially responsible investing. This meeting will be held at Las Fuentes Resort Village, 1035 Scott Drive in Prescott, from 8:30 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 12, 2007. Cost is $7.50 which includes a continental breakfast. Reservations are required by Tuesday, May 8.. RSVP by calling 443-6473 or emailing LWVCYC at hotmail.com. Questions about the program can be directed to Sue Schnetlage at 632-8497.

Please plan to attend this informational meeting on the HOT topic!
