"Bike In's" are a great way to show the Prescott business community bicyclists count, and have fun linking up with old friends and meeting new ones. We really hope to see a crowd of bikes at these things... Please come!
Other events to look forward to this week: (besides lots more rides)
Thurday, May 10
Bike the Beat, Granite Creek Park 5:30: This event is cooler and more fun than you might think, and a good one to do with kids too. Meet up with Prescott Mountain Bike Police for a short ride to learn about the special training they have, and special tactics they use. It is a great chance to see bikes working in Prescott, and on one of these rides a couple years ago, a highlight was an actual "bust" in the middle of the ride! Highly recommended for something different!
Friday, May 11
7:30 am "Bike In" Coffee Roasters 9:00 am "Slow Pokes" Peavine ride
Saturday, May 12
Saturday 9:00 Volunteer trail work with Chris Hosking of Prescott's Mile high trail system. Meet at the Brownlow Trailhead, bring water, hat, gloves and a lunch and help build a trail in Prescott. This is the first of two trail building days for bike month. These are a great way to earn good trail karma. (Good trail karma can keep you from crashing)
Also Saturday... MBAA Race YMCA Healthy kids day.... come to learn about PAT's Safe routes to school program.
This is only week two of bike month... Week three starts with "Bike to Brunch at Sweet Tarts"
