Never short on laughs or originality, Citrus Valley Playhouse spreads its wings and heads north for the summer. Following three successful seasons at the Mesa Arts Center, Citrus Valley finds a home at the Elks Opera House in Prescott, Arizona. The players will perform on consecutive Friday evenings from June 22 through July 27. The Citrus Valley talent never miss an opportunity to zero in on all- things-Arizona that are entertaining.
In Arpaio-Palooza, Prescott Edition, the audience gets a peek at what the town of Mayberry would be like if Joe Arpaio was Sheriff. This sold-out show brought the house down at the Mesa performances. Show-goers will also meet the trademark Citrus Valley characters and segments created by the troupe’s talented founder, Brian Nissen. Nissen skillfully and comically portrays such memorable characters as the Blind Ranger, sightless by choice and Duane who is the host of a call-in radio talk show, Mullets Over America.
There also are entertaining historical segments tied to Prescott that are not to be missed. There is so much to experience with Citrus Valley Playhouse! The show is sure to please with its variety of comedy segments, original music and audience involvement.
