The Phippen Museum’s 33rd Annual Western Art Show and Sale will be held May 26, 27, and 28, 2007 on the historic Courthouse Plaza in mile-high Prescott, Arizona. Event hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday & Sunday and 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday. Admission is free.
The Phippen Museum Western Art Show and Sale is Arizona's premier outdoor western art sale. This year’s event will feature over 240 artists in booths surrounding the Historic Courthouse and in our special Miniature Masterpiece Sale tent. "We are extremely pleased to have such a large representation of juried, professional artists participate in our biggest annual fundraising event," commented Kim Villalpando, Phippen Museum Executive Director. "It is inspiring to see such a wealth of talent in one place." The annually anticipated event features Art of the American West represented in oil, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, pastels, sculpture and drawing. In addition to the show and sale, the Phippen Museum plans a number of other events to round out the holiday weekend, including two “Quick Draw” art demonstrations where professional artists create a work of art in only 45 minutes on the steps of the Historic Courthouse and then auction it off to the crowd. An exciting Gala and Awards banquet at the beautiful Prescott Resort where Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner while the Phippen Museum pays tribute to this year’s award winning artists. Tickets for the Gala can be purchased through the Museum’s website or by calling the Museum directly. This will also be the 4th year for our very successful Miniature Masterpieces Show & Sale. In a special tent on the Courthouse Plaza, spectacular drawings, paintings and sculptures by some of the biggest names in Western Art will be available for viewing and purchase.
