Fabulous concert will support KJZA Print E-mail
by Press Release

The Granite Peak Folk Sessions presents a Concert to support radio station KJZA 89.5 featuring Linda Bilque & friends, Lamar Hill, Ivory, Callaghan Howard and The Folk Sessions Revue, with Alexa MacDonald & Tom Agostinoyour monthly night out for fine music. It happens Friday, June 22 at 7pm and costs  $10.00. The great line-up of Celtic, blues and folk artists headline the Granite Peak Folk Sessions benefit concert for radio station KJZA 89.5 FM at the Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Hall, 882 Sunset Drive, Prescott.

Linda Bilque is a Phoenix folk favorite and Lamar Hill plays blues guitar with a Nashville flair. He's a former bandmate with Doc & Merle Watson. Ivory is a popular lead singer with Wild Thyme who's stepping out on her own for this concert. Callaghan Howard is a beautiful and moving Celtic singer and harpist and the Folk Sessions Revue, Tom and Alexa, are the pair you all know.

Local radio station KJZA 89.5fm, broadcasting from a small, cozy studio on Gurley Street in Prescott, has been bringing original, innovative and informative home-grown programming to North Central Arizona for over five years. Every weekend quality programming like Two-Lane Blues, The Folk Sessions, The Celtic Corner, Arts Beat and Prescription Bluegrass and informative shows like The Yavapai College Radio Hour are locally produced and broadcast. Many groups, organizations, artists and businesses throughout Arizona have had an opportunity to appear on KJZA and present themselves to a large, varied, and community-involved audience. This evening's concert, organized by the producers of The Celtic Corner and The Folk Sessions hopes to raise some funds for the continuing operation of the station and to keep producing local radio.
