The 2007 World Arts Festival arrives at the Prescott Valley Civic Center, 7501 E. Civic Circle in Prescott Valley, September 15 and 16, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with an eclectic mix of culture! The festival celebrates world cultures through music, art and food and is free to the public. A wide variety of musical groups, local and headliner, will perform on 2 stages. Local food vendors will serve up a tasty blend of foods and the beer tasting venue will have samples of the finest brews. Arts and Crafters will offer their works for sale under beautiful fall skies while inside the Civic Center experience the wonderful and varied art of the Prescott Valley Arts Guild art show. Check out the kid’s tent for premier kids entertainer Persephone as master of ceremonies with a great weekend of kids interactive music, magic, stilt walkers, puppets and much much more!
Join us on Sunday for the wacky, outrageous Kinetic Sculpture Race. A collection of lucky riders piloting human powered moving sculptures will brave a slightly uncomfortable (with sand pit) and wacky course to win prizes in best art, engineering, fastest and grand champion categories! It all starts with a pancake breakfast, music and giveaways! If you would like to participate with a vehicle or would like more information, visit the KSR website: www.pvksr.org to read all about it.
