Lizards, lions, tigers and bears, OH MY! The Gallery at Prescott Fine Arts becomes a two and three-dimensional zoo when Animals in Art opens on Friday, August 31. Join show curators Deb Thurston and Cathy Gibbons, along with many of the artists represented in the show, at 5:00 pm for the opening reception.
Friendly or ferocious, real or surreal, come see how our talented artists interpret this multi-faceted theme. The Gallery turns into a jungle with animals real and imagined, fierce and cuddly, and everything in between. Nature provides the subject; talent and imagination produce the art.
There is no charge for the reception or exhibit. There is also a Gift Shop in the Gallery with all kinds of enticingly unique gifts by local artists.
Prescott Fine Arts is located at 208 North Marina Street with the Gallery entrance on the Willis Street side of the Theatre. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, please call (928) 445-3286 or email
