Funded entirely by Four Corner's Restaurants and Valley of the Sun Wines, the fourth annual benefit dinner features favorite dishes from from El Gato Azul and 129 ½. Susan Kelly and Mike Lewis will provide vocal and acoustic entertainment. The event will be staffed in part by W.E.B participants from past years who volunteer their time to share with diners the amazing affect WEB has had on their lives.
All proceeds from the event will benefit WEB, an independent project of Prescott College. Over the last three years this event has raised $6,500 for the WEB Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for low-income girls to attend The Annual WEB Conference.
The WEB Conference was originally founded by Courtney Osterfelt as a senior project at Prescott College. Courtney founded the Conference to meet a need she saw for introducing young women to options for education and self-development available to them through the community of women in Yavapai County. Dozens of women have volunteered their time over the past four years offering workshops in a diverse range of topics, including communication skills, dance, art, writing, self-awareness, yoga, and many other areas. WEB now provides a multitude of educational programs geared towards helping teenage girls explore, define, and achieve their goals. WEB hosts annual retreats, year round workshops, and educational events that address the current needs of young women in today's society. WEB has served over 500 young women in Yavapai County.
