The Prescott Farmers Market continues to celebrate the growing season every Saturday at Yavapai College from 7:30 a.m. – Noon, through October 13th. Also, Visit the Chino Valley Market on Wednesdays at the Century 21 or the Prescott Valley Market on Thursdays at M&I bank.
Now is the time for veggies at the market, as the Prescott growing season kicks into full swing! You can expect to find a variety of squash, tomatoes, beans, eggplant, leafy greens, carrots, melons, chilis, garlic and more! In addition, you will find homemade jams, jellies, sauces, honey, beef, coffee, lotion, soap, and many more great local products.
Don't forget, the farmers market is a great place to catch an early lunch while you shop! Stop by Jube's Fire House BBQ for a pulled pork sandwich or rack of ribs, Molly's Tamales for a fresh hot tamale, PC Crossroads Café for a loaf of fresh baked bread or Jan's for fresh baked goods. All vendors are required to use a minimum of 10% Arizona grown ingredients, you can eat a great meal and support local agriculture at the same time.
This year marks the 11th Season of the Prescott Farmers Market. The PFM is a "growers only" market; all vendors either grow their own produce or make their food or crafts with Arizona Grown products. Stop by the Info booth and enter to win the market basket, all proceeds from the basket raffle support local agriculture scholarship. The market is held at Yavapai College in the main parking lot, 1100 E. Sheldon Street, every Saturday through October 13th.
