Good Morning from sunny, fall like, Philadelphia. Actually, it's afternoon here, but I just woke up, and it's morning back there...so, close enough.
I'll be back tonight...
Lot's of amazingness this week, so here we go.
Monday: Miguel, thinking about Ben and I coming in decided to welcome us back with a Culinary Trip To Paradise. I might actually be making his rational up, but it sounded good to me. Menu: Terriyaki Salmon, Island Ahi Steak, Macadamia Nut Crusted Chicken, Blue Hawaiian Salad, and an Ahi Tower Salad. Can't wait to see you there.
Tuesday: The Tuesday Night Movie...The Sting...Been a long time since I've seen this film, but it's soooo good. 8:30 pm
Wednesday: Kasey Anderson, from Bellingham, WA. visits us with the sound of gravel roads and broken down love. Karl Blau from Anacorte, WA will also be playing. Karl is one of the most creative artists out there right now. Sounds a little like Little Wings...maybe weirder, maybe not as weird. One things for sure. He's definitely entertaining. 8pm
Thursday: Mark Olson, Carrie Clark, and Camille Bloom. Ty and I decided to make this a special show for everyone, so we've decided to make it free. The best show of the year at the Raven, and it's free? Indeed. We just want you to come down and have a good time. Mark is one of the most important artists in the folk-rock, americana, genre today. He started the Jayhawks after all... Carrie Clark and Camille Bloom, from Portland, will open. These two amazing women have been stunning audiences throughout the Western U.S. 8pm...Free
Friday: Dustin Hamman and Nick Jaina from Portland, Or. bring us the sounds of Richard Brautigan headed to the circus after a strange chorus of trumpets, kazoos, and every other intrument that ever maded a child of Dr. Seuss wish to butter their bread butter side down. You'll love it. 8pm
