Join us Saturday, September 29 for The Prescott Farmers Market Harvest Festival and Salsa Contest at Yavapai College, 7:30 a.m. –Noon. In addition, this is the last day to use Arizona Farmers Market Nutrition Program (WIC) Coupons at the market, use them while you can!
Are you missing Young's Farm this year? Don't worry…we'll have PUMPKINS at the market! Harvest Festival events include a build a scarecrow station for kids, antique tractors on display from the Mile Hi Tractor Club, guest chef Paul will host a salsa contest, live music from Christina Davis and family, fresh roasted chilies, and more.
Cook up your best batch and join us for the annual Salsa Contest, from 9-11 a.m., all entries must be submitted by 9 a.m. to participate. Stop by the Chef's station and vote for your favorite! Winner announced at 11 a.m. Take home great market prizes.
The Prescott Farmers Market continues to celebrate the growing season every Saturday at Yavapai College from 7:30 a.m. – Noon, through October 13th. Now's the time for veggies at the market, as the local growing season kicks into full swing! You can expect to find a variety of squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, eggplant, leafy greens, carrots, melons, chilies, garlic and more! In addition, you will find homemade jams, jellies, sauces, honey, beef, coffee, lotion, soap, as well as your favorite b-b-q, tamales, and more!
This year marks the 11th Season of the Prescott Farmers Market. The PFM is a "growers only" market; all vendors either grow their own produce or make their food or crafts with Arizona Grown products. Stop by the Info booth and enter to win the market basket, all proceeds from the basket raffle support local agriculture scholarship. The market is held at Yavapai College in the main parking lot, 1100 E. Sheldon Street, every Saturday through October 13th. Visit the Chino Valley Market on Wednesdays at the Century 21 and the Prescott Valley Market on Thursdays at M&I bank.
