In order to keep pace with the growing number of Americans with diabetes, the Yavapai County Area of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) invites community members to Step Out to Fight Diabetes at the 7th Annual Prescott Walk..
Formerly known as America’s Walk for Diabetes, Step Out to Fight Diabetes is a one-day walk in more than 200 cities this fall. With nearly 21 million Americans living with diabetes, ADA created Step Out to Fight Diabetes as an aggressive attack against the disease—and a cry of hope for those affected by diabetes.
The Prescott Step Out event will be held on Saturday, October 20, starting and finishing at the Yavapai Prescott Indian Reservation, 530 E Merritt Street in Prescott. Walkers, runners, teams and sponsors are invited to join us as we Step Out to Fight Diabetes with a beautiful fall walk/run with their choice of routes from .7 mile, 1.3 miles, 4 miles or 5k (3.1 miles) Fun Run. Fully supported rest stops, volunteers, food, goody bags, prizes and a finishline party are all part of the Step Out Experience. The 5K Fun Run starts at 7:00am with registration at 6:30am, and the walks start at 9:00am with registration beginning at 8:00am.
