Trick-or-Treaters? In twenty years of living up a steep dirt road, I have never had one trick-or- treater come to my house. I think they don't want to risk the chance we will be hiding inside with the lights off. Instead, I think they all go to Mt. Vernon for a sure bet.
This year may be different, because we we be at the spooky old AJ Head house on Gurley St. This house was built about 1870, and must surely have real ghosts. It is vacant now, but that is soon to change as it is destined to become the future headquarters of Prescott Alternative Transportation, and be the new hub of bicycle and pedestrian advocacy in Prescott.
The Head house is at 309 E. Gurley, in between the laundromat and the UPS store, directly across from Washington School. We will be there from between 4 and 7ish tempting trick-or- treaters with goodies, and others for a chance to see the new office site and perhaps an appropriate beverage or two. Please feel free to drop by if you are feeling festive or ghoulish.
One note: Parking there is virtually non-existent, so please be creative... or better yet RIDE YOUR BIKE, or walk (please don't park in the laundromat lot)
Cheers, and have a Happy Halloween
