Welcome to November. We have been eagerly anticipating the coming of this month. Why? Well, We have a lot in store for you. Besides, it's also beautiful out. The leaves are changing, the weather is perfect, and change is in the air. Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate Halloween with us. We had a blast, and it seems like you did too. Now on to matters pressing.
Monday: Monday dinners have officially moved to Tuesday. Deliveries from our distributors required us making a change, and since we want everything to be perfect for you, we know you will understand. Monday night is going to be the new movie night. That being said, there will be no movie this monday. From Oakland, Zoe Vermillion, and from Los Angeles, The Peculiar Pretzlemen. Zoe sounds a little like Jolie Holland dancing on Billie Holiday's gramaphone player in Tom Waits' New Orleans hotel room. The Peculiar Pretzlemen are a bit like The Devil Makes Three meets The Squirrel Nut Zippers in the guise of a one man band. I'm a lookin' forward...8pm
Tuesday: It is Newt's Birthday Party, and you are invited. The plans...Blues For Dixie 2...Ben Dickey's first Tuesday Night Menu with Miguel and Debbie Gradillas. Ben is cooking up some of Newt's favorites to share with you. We are bringing in live Crawfish for a boil. Debbie is making Ida Bell's famous Pecan Pie, and a plenty of other surprise fixins will be on the table from deep along the bayou. We promise this will be a Tuesday night you won't want to miss. The Prescott Playboys will be on hand for a night of dinner and dancing, and they have a few surprises in store as well. Party starts at 5...music starts at 6.
Wednesday: Don't ever think we're afraid to go international. Jonathon Best is putting together a benefit to support free elections among the Kenyan Maasai people. Blue Wail will be performing, and there will be plenty of room for dancing. 8pm
Saturday: The Splints are returning to the Raven's stage for a night of straight ahead rock n' roll. You'll dig it...I promise. 8pm
Your Album Of The Week: The King Khan and BBQ Show...Kristy told me about it...you'll dig it...check it out.
Until Again
