The Acker Holiday card will be available for purchase in area stores by the the first of November and we would appreciate an announcement article and photo in the Courier about our 13th annual holiday card fundraiser sale sometime towards that first weekend in November.
Vicki McGaw's contest winning photograph of Prescott's festive courthouse holiday lights framed around the Buckey O'Neill statue will grace the face of the Friends of J.S. Acker 13th annual holiday card this year. Cards will arrive in stores by the first of November.
The Friends of Acker will again partner with Prescott Creeks Preservation Association ( www.prescottcreeks.org) this year. Proceeds will support PCPA's newest grant project studying creek water quality, while the Friends will use funds for an art mural on the wall of the parks restroom. For those new to the area, the 80 acre open space park is located at the end of S. Virginia St.; just one block east of Mt. Vernon Avenue. There is a 1-mile scenic loop trail with interpretive plant identifications and incredible panoramic views of Prescott from hilltop vistas. Additional information can be found at www.ackerpark.org
Customers can choose from a sets of 10 each of the same photo, or a 50/50 mix set of the courthouse plaza lighting, and a snow covered Thumb Butte scene. There will be preprinted cards with Card sets will be preprinted with ³Seasons Greetings from Arizona's Christmas City, Prescott, Arizona!² or ³Merry Christmas from Prescott, Arizona² inside. We will also offer blank cards sets for your own personalized holiday message, making them an ideal gift giving idea as note cards. 10 pack sets have been kept affordably priced at $8 each.
