Prescott United Animal Friends Foodraiser - Pet Food FundraiserTough economic times have created a growing number of needy pets. During stressful financial periods, many families are faced with the devastation of not being able to afford to feed their pets.

In an effort to keep pets in their homes, United Animal Friends (UAF), a local animal rescue group, is launching a type of "foodraiser". Contributors can sponsor a pet for a year for a one-time donation of $120, or a monthly donation of $10. Donations of any amount are appreciated. All money will be used to provide pet food to needy families.

Checks can be sent to: United Animal Friends, P.O. Box 11133, Prescott, AZ 86304.

"The economy has many families worried. A little help with food could make a huge difference," Nancy Vargo, UAF President, said.

Anyone needing assistance for a pet can contact UAF at 928-778-2924.
