"An incredible week for Antelope Hills Golf Courses and the City of Prescott has just concluded," said manager Paul Parker.
Last week, Antelope Hills hosted the prestigious Arizona Women's Golf Association Senior Championship, a 3-day, 54 hole, 137 entry tournament. Cindy Bryiarski won the championship with scores of 75-75-73 for a total of 223.
On Saturday, Antelope Hills played host to another top tournament--the Arizona Golf Association Northern Arizona Amateur Championship, a 2-day, 36 hole tournament with 160 participants. Kyle Kallan won the championship with scores of 66-68 for a total of 134.
The economic impact for the City of Prescott was substantial. "There were 1,990 rounds of golf played last week alone and an estimated 450 hotel rooms were used by the tournament participants," added Parker.
The City of Prescott has recently ventured into the regional market, running a statewide commercial for its non-resident, golf getaway package. The thirty second spot is running on AZTV's A.M. Arizona and the Pat McMahon Show as well as 18 other networks.
"While Phoenix courses are overseeding this time of year, and our turf is at its best, we thought we'd offer our friends down south a great few days of golf in Prescott at an unbeatable price," said Parker.
